“If this amendment passes, it will mean that virtually all women with insurance through the exchange who find themselves in the unwanted and unexpected position of needing to terminate a pregnancy will not have coverage for the procedure. Abortion coverage will not be outlawed in this country. It will simply be tiered, reserved for those rich enough to afford insurance themselves or lucky enough to receive from their employers.”

In reality, this will only be the beginning. How long until the pill and other forms of birth control (which are not covered by all insurance and by no means cheap without coverage) be the next thing to ban. We knew this was coming.

I need a bell

I have somehow managed to lose my glasses somewhere in my apartment. Problematic as I cleaned up my house yesterday and didn’t spy them. But, I had them driving home on Wednesday so at least I know they’re in Philadelphia.

Related, there are also a few other MIA objects.

  • Keys
  • Sunglasses are located at the moment
  • Brown scarf
  • Favorite blue sweater.

Seriously NJ?

I know Corzine was problematic, but Christie?

Political losses shouldn’t get factored into my batting average I think. I definitely am suffering from a wonk hangover and will be detoxing over the next few days. No more poll numbers, breathless recaps of conference calls or Saturday morning walks and phonebanks.

Who would have thought that Thompson would have come closer to besting and gaining power than Corzine?

Brain fried?

I burnt a bagel in my office earlier today and my god, the stink of burning complex carbs is lingering.

I spent 6 dollars for this vile mess. Gagging.

Being green?

I have never questioned my commitment to public transportaion but I’ve been stuck on the tracks for 2 hours and when I get to Trenton I still have anothe hour to Newark. Seriously SEPTA, get it together. Don’t make me get a car.

This place is my hood confuses me. Its never open but the displays change.

Sunday

I have to work today…again. I’m on for the next nine days. Trying to elect Corzine for Governor for the next state over. At least it isn’t raining.

But I started my morning in the best possible way. I went out to my back patio and sipped coffee, watching my quiet street.

And I wonder if anyone ever uses the Philly Carshare parked behind my apartment. It never seems to move.

I loved this performance this week on Glee. My childhood friend’s parents were big Diamond fans so I heard this song several times (and perhaps performed a few silly versions) and well, baseball games.

Luckily, this might help eradicate such memories.
