I feel slightly like a drug pusher

I convinced my pal Carla to take a break from studying and come with me to New Moon. We went to an afternoon showing and the first question was, is there anyone younger than college at the viewing? Only a group of about 5 middle-schoolers we surmised.

(There were plenty of little kids at the next showing with kids, rest assured.)

The most entertaining group was the group of 4 girlfriends in t-shirts of divided team alliance taking pictures and announced during the preview that yes, they had just turned thirty and were at a Twilight movie.

Good solid fun with lots of shirtless, chaste male action. Over food Carla asked me to give her future plot points.

For a newbie who hadn’t read any of the books or seen the first movie she enjoyed it alot. The audience added to the pleasure as well.

I now know what has been tormenting my cat

Nightly, the flood lights to my deck trip. Over the weekend my cat was crying out the window and attempting to growl at something out there. I assumed a mouse or a stray.

The biggest fucking racoon tries to eat my neighbor’s plants.

“This is gender genocide!”

Elisabeth Hassleback, daughter of a breast-cancer survivor spoke out against the new report that is making it way through the media sending some false science. This report that women shouldn’t get mamograms until 50 is ridiculous and breast cancer touches so many women. It’s irresponsible and this would never be suggested for prostate cancer.

It's already one of those weeks

I get to the office to discover my computer is missing!

Being sick has given me lots of free time within the confines of my bed.
I love this top. I wonder if it could be a diy.
Ideas as how to do it?

Wait, wait wait...

I was flipping through the channels and saw something I haven’t seen in ten years. I stopped on General Hospital (which I haven’t watched since high school) and saw old Lucky, original Lucky, being well, Lucky.

Wow…

What is the world coming to?

I'm sick

I’ve had a cold that won’t stop lingering and making me rather grouchy.

Or maybe it’s just that I feel dizzy every time I stand up.

The most crushing 90 seconds of Mad Men

Comes in episode 11 when Roger’s old flame tells him that he’s the one, and he replies… “You weren’t.”

“If this amendment passes, it will mean that virtually all women with insurance through the exchange who find themselves in the unwanted and unexpected position of needing to terminate a pregnancy will not have coverage for the procedure. Abortion coverage will not be outlawed in this country. It will simply be tiered, reserved for those rich enough to afford insurance themselves or lucky enough to receive from their employers.”

In reality, this will only be the beginning. How long until the pill and other forms of birth control (which are not covered by all insurance and by no means cheap without coverage) be the next thing to ban. We knew this was coming.
